The North Carolina Cooperative Education Association (NCCEA) provides an organization for all North Carolina institutions of higher education, employers, and individuals interested in Cooperative Education. NCCEA, founded in 1974, meets annually and has over 85 members representing business, industry, government, high schools, colleges, universities, and other organizations.
Membership
Membership in NCCEA is open to all individuals interested in furthering the principles of Cooperative Education for postsecondary students. Voting at meetings of the Association is limited to those members in attendance. The NCCEA membership year is from January 1 through December 31. Annual dues of $25 are payable by December 31 for the following year. For those attending the Annual Meeting, dues may be paid as a part of the registration fee for the Annual Meeting.

Awards
The North Carolina Cooperative Education Association presents two awards annually. The Jon A. Young Award is presented to an individual who exemplifies the ideals of cooperative education. It is given in memory of an NCCEA member and employer representative of the Tennessee Valley Authority. The William D. Weston Student of the Year Award is given to the outstanding co-op student employed during the calendar year.
Below you will find links for both the 2011 Young and Weston Awards including evaluation criteria and nomination forms. Nominations should be submitted to Dottie Moore (dottie.moore@rccc.edu) at Rowan Cabarrus Community College no later than September 1. Awards will be presented at the NCCEA conference.

NCCEA Logo Contest
$100 PRIZE!
Deadline for Entries: September 30, 2011
The purpose of the contest is to design a new logo for the North Carolina Cooperative Education Association! The logo will be used online, in print and as seen fit by the NCCEA.

The contest is open to all teachers, students and educational staff members.
•
Entries must be submitted to wayne.booth@navy.mil. Entries must be submitted as JPG.
•
The email must include the name, age, school affiliation address and phone number of the Entrant.
•
Entrants should abide by all copyright laws.
•
Winner will be notified by e-mail and phone.
NCCEA Newsletter
NCCEA publishes a periodic newsletter that provides information on our association, as well as the accomplishments and activities of our members.
