Central Piedmont Hosts Apprenticeship and Workplace Learning Conference
Please join CPCC on May 21 for the first Apprenticeship and Workplace Learning Conference, a one-day event to guide employers, educators, and the community on time-tested models of training success. The conference will highlight the critical role of apprenticeship and workplace learning in building the talent pipeline and addressing the skills initiative. We also will share best practices and strategies for implementing an apprenticeship, co-op, or internship program.
Keynote speaker Bill Anderson from MeckEd will discuss why workplace learning is important in providing opportunities for aspiring workers and driving the region's productivity and economic growth. Expert panelists from industry, education, and economic development offer a deeper look at apprenticeship and co-op/internship implementation, benefits, and best practices. Speakers include those from the N.C. Department of Commerce, Siemens, CPCC, Duke Energy, Blum, and Stanly Community College.
